From my earliest memories i have had a pencil in my hand and a passion for all things creative.  I absolutely love the process, the mess and the ultimate joy of creating something from my imagination.

 My ambition for discovering new creative outlets has led my career from animation and illustration, model making and sculpting into prop making and scenic painting for some of europes leading theming companies,  I have also worked as a scenic painter for a number of years on british Tv, film and commercials.

 I have created props for tv shows such as strictly come dancing and Big Brother as well as working on theatre shows, worldwide theme parks and museums.

 

My true passion is embracing my imagination and commiting imagery to a blank canvas. I utilise a technique that i have spent many years perfecting, of painstakingly layering specially mixed and blended glazes over intricate hand applied textured back drops. Creating bold, striking and truly unique one off paintings. Each piece is painted flat allowing the layering application to adhere to the surface. this can take many weeks to achieve.

My inspiration comes from all number of sources...  , from the naturally occurring geometric patternation found in nature to the wonderment, beauty and enormity of the cosmos and space. My aim is to capture the vibrancy, movement, rhythm  and beauty conjured by the world around me.

The  process of experimenting, playing and ultimately making mistakes leads me to the joy of discovering new ideas and techniques that i embrace within my work.

I am based in Yorkshire but My art work has been exhibited across Britain in many galleries and Showrooms, as well as appearing on programmes for both the bbc and ITV.  I  have collectors from around the world and had the pleasure to  work alongside many interior designers creating bespoke one off pieces for some exclusive high end locations.
